PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display device and its driving method wherein a light emission display is made possible in which all faces are utilized in a high efficiency using a comb-type or mesh-like electrode. SOLUTION: The light emitting display is provided which is equipped with a first substrate having a first electrode commonly installed to a plurality of pixels, a second substrate having a plurality of comb-type second electrodes which are installed for respective pixels on the opposing face to the first substrate, a light emitting layer which is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, and which contains a light emitting material in which a cation radical molecule and an anion radical molecule are formed by electrochemical oxidation or reduction and electrochemical light emission is made, and equipped with a driving means which applies voltage between the first and second electrodes so that the short-life radical molecule is formed in the vicinity of the first electrode among the cation radical molecule and the anion radical molecule.
