PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting nano material constituted of many nanoparticles having high quantum efficiency and a high absorption value. SOLUTION: The light-emitting nano material is constituted of the many nano particles containing at least one kind of a lanthanide metal phosphate, and at least one kind of lanthanide-series dopant, and each having a prescribed shape such as a spherical shape and a platelet shape. The light-emitting nano material is formed by each step of adding a phosphate source and a fuel to a homogenized precursor solution of a lanthanide metal precursor and a lanthanide-series dopant precursor, heating the solution to remove the water content, and firing the resultant semisolid residue.
