The pilot valve has a shut-off component (6) which via a piston (18) and piston spring acting on it is pretensioned against a valve seat in the closed position. The shut-off component is additionally preloaded in its closed position by a check valve spring (12). The piston defines a pressure chamber (26) through which passes the piston rod (22) which extends into a check valve spring chamber (30), whereby the pressure chamber and the check valve spring chamber are interconnected. The pressure chamber is pressurized by pressure at the outlet connection (B) via a control line (34).
