The invention relates to a sealing strip for sealing joints between structural elements and an outer wall in an airtight manner. Said strip comprises a carrier layer (1), an adhesive layer (2), and a strippable covering film (3) lying on the adhesive layer (2). The carrier layer (1) consists of a light-coloured material, having a surface finish to which plaster bonds; the covering film (3) comprises at least one slit in the longitudinal direction; and the adhesive layer (2) is a self-adhesive acrylate or rubber bonding agent. A water vapour moderating layer is provided between the carrier layer (1) and the adhesive layer (2).
