FIELD: sealing engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: sealing unit is made of an assembly of W-shaped stacks with arc-shaped hollows and flexible separating members interposed between the stacks and is interposed between the two bearing rings. The sealing member is interposed between the top bearing ring and flexible member that effects on the sealing member through the pressing member. The sealing member is made of a ring made of thermally-expanded graphite that receives two metallic rings whose cross-section is wave-shaped. The metallic rings are spaces by means of separating ring. The spaces are filled with colloid graphitic plastic compound. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability. ^ 10 cl, 4 dwg
