<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidimensional organic-inorganic composite compound which has new functional physical properties such as excellent electron-transfer property, oxidation-reduction activity, visible light responsiveness and photocatalytic activity and is capable of serving as a next-generation, highly functional hybrid material. <P>SOLUTION: The multidimensional organic-inorganic composite compound is a compound (C) of formula (1) obtained by reacting at least two inorganic metal compounds (A) with a polyfunctional organic compound (B), wherein at least two metal elements are bound to a polyfunctional organic group via covalent bonds.
