<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator motor having a simple and inexpensive constitution, reducing an inrush current during power-on, easily dealing with a large-power and large-scale machine, and reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: In the commutator motor, a magnetic field winding 1 is wound to a stator 3 and connected to a rotor winding 5 wound to a rotor 6 through a brush 8 and a commutator 7, an AC power supply is connected to the magnetic field winding 1 and the rotor winding 5, and the brush 8 is constituted so as to be turnable in the circumferential direction of the commutator 7. The commutator motor is provided with a brush holding means for holding the brush 8 in a home position corresponding to an electric angle of 0° during AC power-on, and a brush turning/driving means for controlling a turning position of the brush 8 and generating forward torque and/or backward torque in the rotor 6 after AC power-on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
