摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient authentication process while simultaneously realizing both system side security and card user side security.

SOLUTION: This IC card 100 for performing the authentication process based on collation of personal authentication information between it and a system terminal on the basis of predetermined specifications has a specification comparison means 10 for comparing specifications on the system terminal side and specifications on the IC card 100 side. The specification comparison means 10 selects a collation method of the personal authentication information from the collation using a collation function of the IC card 100, the collation using a collation function of the system terminal, and the collation using the respective collation functions of the IC card 100 and the system terminal according to a comparison result.
