<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food storage container in which the prevention of sticking of cooked rice to a storage part is achieved without adding new equipment or processes, cost increase can also be restrained, and the characteristics of the disposal of a pulp mold can fully be utilized, and to provide a food storage container manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the food storage container (pulp mold) 1 formed such that a fluid material made of plant is poured into a mold and then press-molded has the storage part 2 for putting in cooked rice, and another storage parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 for putting in accompanying food or the like. The entire bottom and parts of the sides of the storage part 2 for cooked rice are subjected to a surface roughing process (formation of recesses and projections), by forming recesses and projections on a male surface as shown by grid hatches. Since at least the parts of the internal surface of the food storage container, formed by pouring the fluid material made of plant into the mold and press-molding it, are processed to have the rough surface, the cooked rice or the like is prevented from sticking to the storage part while the characteristics of the disposal of the pulp mold is sustained.
