<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wire twisting machine, which reduces power consumption at the time of high speed operation, reduces a generated noise and has a mechanism being inexpensive and easy to maintain. <P>SOLUTION: The wire twisting machine 1 has rotary bodies 16, 17, which give a twist to a wire rod. A single or a plurality of cowls 19, 20, 21 are arranged on driving shafts 7, 8 surrounding the rotary bodies 16, 17 in a manner that the cowls cover the periphery of the rotary bodies 16, 17. The cowls 19, 20, 21 are rotatably provided on the driving shafts 7, 8.
