PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple authentication system that relieves a user of the need to manage his or her ID or a password by allowing automatic log-in from a mobile terminal 101 to a content server 201. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 101 includes a user registration request means for sending multimedia (MM) information; an authentication information encryption means for generating authentication information by receiving authentication key information and encrypting on the basis of the key code of the authentication key information the MM information to which the ID and password have been added; and a log-in means for sending the authentication information for log-in. The content server 201 includes an authentication information usability determining means for receiving the MM information and determining whether or not it is usable as authentication information; an authentication key information sending means for sending the authentication key information; an authentication information complication means for extracting the authentication key information by receiving and complicating the authentication information; and an authentication key information collation means for collating the extracted authentication key information with the authentication key information registered in a user database.
