PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel capable of continuing a normal operation, even when a chip cannot follow the deformation of a panel substrate and is broken, when adopting a driving IC of COG connection. SOLUTION: In the display panel, a driving IC chip 3 having a circuit for driving a display part is mounted on the panel substrate, and a groove 60 is formed in a circuit surface of the driving IC chip 3, and the circuit is divided into a first section 3a and a second section 3b electrically segmented from each other, and connection wiring 33 for electrically connecting the first and second sections 3a and 3b is formed on the panel substrate.
