PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission modulation apparatus adaptive to various modulation schemes without deteriorating spectrum characteristics. SOLUTION: A linear transmission modulator 100 is provided with a high-frequency power amplifier 102 for amplifying a phase-modulated high-frequency signal of a high-frequency signal, a power supply voltage control unit 101 for amplifying a base band amplitude modulation signal of the high-frequency signal. The power supply voltage control unit 101 includes a delta/sigma amplifier 103 for performing delta/sigma amplification on the base band amplitude modulation signal to produce a delta/sigma amplified signal, and a delta amplifier 104 for performing delta amplification on the base band amplitude modulation signal to produce a delta amplified signal. Any one of the delta/sigma amplifier 103 and the delta amplifier 104 operates for outputting in response to a modulation mode switching control signal indicating whether or not the amplitude modulation signal is fluctuated.
