PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera not requiring an image transmission cable or a power supply cable. SOLUTION: A room mirror 16 for confirming the rear side is attached in the vicinity of the upper end center of a windshield 15 used as a window glass of a car. A camera unit 11 of an image pickup device in the image pickup system 1A is embedded in a part 16a for attaching the room mirror 16 to the windshield 15. The camera unit 11 performs non-contact transmission of an image signal generated by image pickup to an after-mentioned interface 12, and acquires the power non-contact transmitted from the interface 12 to utilize as operation power.
