PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil device which can be reduced in size by eliminating a terminal plate to be attached to the outer surface of a ring core and hence can contribute to the cost reduction. SOLUTION: The coil device 1 comprises a drum core 9 which is formed with top and bottom flanges 9a and 9b, with the top and bottom flanges 9a and 9b connected by a shaft around which a winding 9c is to be wound; and the ring core 2 having a cylindrical space 4 for storing the drum core 9. The drum core 9 wound with the winding 9c is stored in the cylindrical space 4 of the ring core 2, and the ends of the winding 9c are drawn on the top face on the diagonal line of the ring core 2 to be connected to external terminals formed on the external surface of the ring core 2. The external terminals are formed of a plating film 5 spread from the top face of a concave portion 3 for drawing the ends of the winding 9c through the concave portion 3 over to the external surface of the ring core 2.
