PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease in the image quality of an image, after development. SOLUTION: The liquid development device is equipped with a developer carrier to carry a liquid developer, a developer housing part to house the liquid developer, and a developer supply member immersed in a partially exposed state in the liquid developer housed in the developer housing part so as to supply the liquid developer to the developer carrier; and the developing device develops a latent image carried by the image carrier with the liquid developer carried by the developer carrier. The liquid development device is equipped with a bubble scraping member in contact with the developer supply member, downward in the vertical direction from the liquid surface of the liquid developer housed in the developer housing part so as to scrape off bubbles deposited on the developer supply member.
