PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device enabling a refrigerant to be filled therein in a short time without deforming a filter part and a method of assembling the filter device. SOLUTION: This filter device comprises a connection pipe 50 having a filler port 51 for filling and a filter unit 60 installed in the connection pipe 50. The filter unit 60 comprises the filter part 61 arresting foreign matter contained in the refrigerant and a terminal part 62, at one end of the filter part 61, restricting the movement of the filter unit 60 in the connection part 50. Then, an opening part 64 leading the refrigerant filled from the filler port 51 to the filter part 61 through the terminal part 62 is formed in the terminal part 62. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
