PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match large dynamic head lifting and uniformly disperse the load circumferentially in the periphery of an opening by reducing bore distortion and recessed deformation of a liner to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art. SOLUTION: This sealing gasket includes an offset flexible stopper part spaced laterally outwardly away from an offset inner sealing portion that is adjacent to the opening or other areas requiring sealing between mating members adapted to be clamped together. The gasket has a monolayer carrier and an elastic sealing material is made to adhere to at least a portion of the carrier by screen printing or the like. The gasket is advantageously used for a cylinder head, a cylinder block, an intake manifold, an exhaust manifold, piping and the other fluid conveying devices, which have the possibility that a relative movement is caused between the members to be mutually sealed.
