PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a configuration of a blur correction optical system which contributes to the miniaturization of an optical apparatus and increase in efficiency in varying magnification when used for a zoom lens. SOLUTION: The optical apparatus includes: a light quantity adjustment unit 7; a first lens unit L3a which is disposed closer to an object than the light quantity adjustment unit is; a second lens unit L3b which is disposed closer to an image than the light quantity adjustment unit is; and drive means 303 and 307 which drive the first lens unit and the second lens unit in directions perpendicular to an optical axis.
