PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous hollow inorganic compound particle which has no problem such as in a detective sense of use, when compounded with cosmetics, and which can easily be compounded with the cosmetics which are widely prescribed, and to prepare a cosmetic which contains the fibrous hollow inorganic compound particles and gives finished states having youthful textures to aged skin. SOLUTION: The fibrous hollow inorganic compound particle is characterized by containing an inorganic compound as a constituent, having a fibrous hollow structure, and having a number-average length (L) of 10 to 1,000μm, a number-average diameter (D) of 0.1 to 30μm, an aspect ratio (L)/(D) of 5 to 100, and a number-average hollow outer diameter in the range of 30 to 95 % based on the number-average diameter.
