PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for a water purifier, by which a nitrate nitrogen component can be removed suitably even when water contains a sulfate ion component as well as the nitrate nitrogen component is purified and to provide the water purifier and a water cleaning method. SOLUTION: This filter for purifying water is provided with a first water purifying filter 41 in which water is made to inflow and a second water purifying filter 42 through which the water passing through the first water purifying filter is made to pass and from which the purified water is discharged. The first water purifying filter is separated by a separator 5 from the second water purifiyng filter. The first water cleaning filter has a cation exchange resin having a calcium ion as an exchange ion and the second water purifying filter has an anion exchange resin.
