PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily controlled chromatographic separator capable of reducing a total quantity of pumps to be used and obtaining a high separation performance with a simplified structure. SOLUTION: This chromatographic separator is characterized in controlling with two pumps when a chromatographic separation is performed by a combination of a first process, which is to supply at least either a raw liquid or an eluent to a circulatory system and to draw the same volume of the liquid amount which is supplied from one place of a packed column enriched by some components in the circulatory system, and a second process, which is to circulate the liquid in the system without supplying all the raw liquid and the eluent and without drawing the separated components.
