PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application apparatus capable of applying a liquid material with a high hardness and a high viscosity without unevenness. SOLUTION: In this application apparatus comprising an ink pan and a doctor blade, the surface of a roll in the side where the roll turns downward forms an inner wall of the ink pan and the doctor blade forms a lower part inner wall continued from the inner wall and the tip end of the doctor blade is so arranged as to have contact with the roll and the doctor blade is so held slantingly as to keep the angle formed between the scraping face of the doctor blade and the tangent line at the contact point of the tip end of the doctor blade and the roll in the rotational direction at 20°to 30°outward.
