PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device on cartridge system embodied in a simply separable structure while it is equipped with a rotary joint to serve for a through-spindle coolant device. SOLUTION: The spindle device 11 on cartridge replacement system is structured so that the front bearing parts of the spindle is installed in a front housing, rear bearing parts of the spindle 15 are supported on a rear housing 25, and that the front bearing parts 17a and 17b, the spindle 15, and the rear bearing parts 19a and 19b are made separable from the rear housing 25 together with the front housing 23 when the front 23 is separated from the rear 25, wherein a rotary joint is installed in a piston 63 of an unclamping means to unclamp tools 21 and T attached to the tip of the spindle 15, and also a drover 51 is provided capable of separating from the rear housing 25 and the rotary joint together with the spindle 15 and the front housing 23 accompanied by a seal ring.
