The invention relates to a method of generating 3D medical imaging data, such as pulmonary data. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: displaying (1) at least one image originating from real 3D medical imaging data; selecting (2) a medical abnormality; selecting (3) at least one location in the displayed image; and generating (4) processed 3D medical imaging data by modifying the density of target voxels present in a target volume in the real 3D medical imaging data, said target volume being determined as a function of the selected location and medical abnormality.
