<p>The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion of alkyde resin which is based on conjugated unsaturated fatty acids and which is treated by an oxidizing agent and which has specific properties, especially in terms of drying, a specific method for the production thereof and the use thereof as a binder in aqueous compositions of decorative or industrial coatings, having a reduced drying agent content or being devoid of a drying agent. The aqueous dispersion comprises at least one alkyde resin obtained from at least one unsaturated fatty acid having a rate by weight of at least 5 % of said resin and being treated prior to and/or during and/or after aqueous dispersion by at least one oxidizing agent selected from hydroperoxides including H202, peroxides, singulet oxygen, at an oxidant treatment temperature located 1) between room temperature and less than 100 DEG C when it occurs after dispersion and ii) 50 DEG and 150 DEG C when it occurs before dispersion and iii) 50 DEG and less than 100 DEG C when it occurs during the dispersion stage.</p> |
