Analogs of 1-desamino-8-D-arginyl vasopressin with the following general formula Mpa-Tyr-Phe-X-Y-Cys-Pro-D-Arg-Gly-NH2 wherein, X is an amino acid of the group consisting of alanine, asparagine, glutamine, isoleucine, leucine and valine; and Y is an amino acid of the group consisting of asparagine, glutamine, isoleucine, leucine and valine. 2.
