A controllable auxiliary current source arranged between signal input path and output path, and connected to voltage sensor, generates discharge current signal, such that current signal value increases exponentially with increasing voltage of input voltage signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) detector circuit; (2) transponder; and (3) method for operating transponder.
