Information related to the presence of cells in a registration area which are part of a service area for the multicast service is transmitted from one radio network controller to another. In this way, the receiving RNC is enabled to send instruction messages relating to the multicast service (eg to remain in or move out of a URA_ PCH state) to a user equipment which enters such a cell.
