An electric blower for a fuel fired vehicle heater has the characteristics of each motor (16) measured before fitting into the vehicle and programmed into the motor control (20). This enables the control to vary he blower rate of the motor and fan (18) simply by controlling the voltage applied to the motor, and without a separate sensor for the fan speed, in other words, the deviation from designed operating parameters of the motor are predetermined and programmed into the control system. |
