Communications system for multimedia exchange between parent and child unit

A communications system capable of two-way wireless data communications between a parent unit and a child unit is provided. The child unit includes a power switch for turning on/off a power of the child unit; an power control signal issuing unit for issuing a power control signal for turning on/off a power of the parent unit in conjunction with the event of the power switch is turned on/off; and data communication unit for performing two-way wireless data communications with the parent unit. The parent unit includes a power control signal receiving unit for receiving the power control signal from the issuing unit of the child unit; a power control unit for turning on/off the power of the parent unit in response to the power control signal received from the receiving unit; and data communication unit for performing two-way wireless data communications with the child unit.
