<p>The invention relates to a method for producing polyisobutene containing at least 75 mol- % terminal vinylidene groups. Said method consists in polymerising an isobutene or hydrocarbon mixture containing isobutene in the liquid phase in the presence of a boron trifluoride complex catalyst of composition (BF3)a. L1 b . L2c. L3d, wherein L l represents water, a primary Cl-C5-alkanol and/or a secondary C3-C5-alkanol, L2 represents at least one aldehyde and/or a ketone, L3 represents an ether having at least 5 carbon atoms, a secondary alkanol having at least 6 carbon atoms, a primary alkanol having at least 6 carbon atoms and/or a tertiary alkanol. The ratio b:a ranges from 0.9 3.0, the ratio c:a ranges from 0.01 0.5, and the ratio d:a ranges from 0 1.0.</p> |
