<p>A product e.g. food production line has a production unit linked to a packing unit by an intermediate buffer unit with an input station (A) and an output station (E). The buffer unit has a number of moving transport frames (1-8). The intermediate buffer input and output stations each have a vertical conveyer (14/21) for transport frames. Each vertical conveyer has two independently operated chain drives (15/16, 22/23). The two pairs of chains at the input station (E) alternately step-advance two transport frames past a loading point, following which they advance de-coupled from stepped operation. The transport frames are loaded without interruption. The discharge station has an analogous operation, with no interruption between discharge from two transport frames presented one after the other.</p> |
