Expression system for the production of IL-15/Fc fusion proteins and their use

Expression system (A) comprises at least one each of: nucleic acid (I) encoding an interleukin-15 (IL-15)/Fc fusion protein (FP); promoter and nucleic acid (II) for a CD5 leader, where the promoter and (II) are functionally linked to (I). Independent claims are also included for: (1) nucleic acid (III) containing (I), promoter and (II), optionally also a selectable marker gene; (2) host cell that contains (A) or (III); (3) method for preparing FP using the cells of (2); and (4) use of the CD5 leader for expressing proteins in CHO cells or their derivatives, particularly CHO-K1.
