PURPOSE:To keep the capacity of a secondary battery approx. constant irrespective of charging/discharging cycles; in the case, the region from alarm indication voltage to the discharge end voltage must be used. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive and a negative electrode each capable of storing and releasing lithium. The positive electrode has a portion where the mono-polar potential during discharge exceeds 2.0V by Li+/Li potential reference. The negative electrode consists of an admixture of at least two substances of a group of such lithium carriers as Nb2O5, MoO2, RuO2, WO2, metal lithium, LiTiS2, CuO, and carbonaceous material capable of storing and releasing lithium, and the electrode potential in the lithium storage state consists of a combination of a base substance and a noble substance. |
