The invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in heat exchange equipment of power equipment, mostly as convection heating surfaces of steam boilers. A heat exchange surface has rows of pipes and transverse ribs as two halves û tabs connecting at least two neighboring pipes with formation of gap between them. Each rib-tab has at the inter-pipe section lug-like bend, not larger than half of the rib step in height, and with inclination not more than 60 DEGREE with respect to direction of flow with preservation of parallel orientation of the sections of the rib-tabs connection to the pipes. At that at the inclined section of bend cut is provided for pass of the medium flowing by the ribs. This invention provides increase of heat effectiveness of heat-exchange surface due to turbulization of flow and increase of the area of surface round which the turbulent flow goes.
