<p>The plate is supported and the strip, coated on the inside with adhesive, is continuously fed over a deflecting roll of the pressure applicator. The pressure applicator comprises an endless tensioning belt running around deflecting rolls and forming a loop around the plate and between two adjacent restricting rolls. A support for the plate comprises rolls with axes parallel to the plate. Restricting rolls for the loop are preceded or followed by an entry and exit roll in the belt movement direction. Axial spacing of inlet and outlet rolls is greater than that of the restricting rolls. The other deflecting rolls and tensioning roll lie in a plane parallel to the axes of the entry and exit rolls. The tensioning system drive unit consists of a tensioning cable whose one end contacts the bearing of the tensioning roll and whose other end connects with a tensioning wheel. A preloading cylinder acts on the tensioning wheel and a cylinder unit connects with the tensioning cable and thus the tensioning wheel via a detachable coupling. The strip material can be directed to the feed side of both rolls.</p> |
