DISC BRAKE AND METHOD TO ADJUST IT

The invention relates to the design of disc brake with two-side application of locking force that is formed by packs of compressed plate springs and method for adjustment of such brake used mostly in mining. Disc brake with two-side application of locking force, with assembled force cramp fixed on the fixed part, arranged of two rotary half-cramps installed on axles parallel to the plane of brake disc. Half-cramps are arranged with possibility of fixation of position of those with respect to the fixed part and are connected to each other with at least one con-rod. Brake shoes installed in each of half-brakes are placed one in front of another at both sides of disc brake and are arranged with possibility of pressing those to the brake disc and moving from it. Con-rod is arranged with spherical supports at its ends being in contact with spherical sockets arranged in half-cramps. A method for adjustment of the disc brake is proposed. Due to such implementation equilibration of forces affecting brake disc from the disc shoes is achieved automatically.
