A method for obtaining the coating relates to the field of applying coatings, in particular gas-thermal spaying and can be used in the metallurgy for making pieces operating in the condition of alternating loads and considerable amount of heat modifications. The method includes mechanical processing the low-carbon steel billet surface with forming a relief, application on the worked surface of an intermediary layer of nickel-aluminium or aluminium base, application of the main working layer and thermal treatment. Novel is that for application of the layer selected is the material providing carrying out "reactive diffusion" on the basis of not less than 60 % of iron, and containing Ni, Al, ??, ??n, Si, Cr, ????, Mo, Y, ??, Zr, ????, W, billet thermal treatment is performed in oxidation-freemedium at the temperature of 1000-1300 DEGREE ?? till formation of diffusion layer and the thermal treatment is carried out up to achieving by the diffusion layer of the strength being equal of greater the ultimate strength of the billet material. The technical result of the method is providing a possibility of diffusion binding material of low carbon steel with material of intermediary layer and material of the wear-resistant coating and achieving the value of binding force of diffusion layer with low carbon base being equal or greater than the amount of ultimate strength of the billet material.
