The proposed method of nondestructive testing for determining the mechanical properties of steel, specifically the stress limit, implies measuring the hardness, specific resistance, and thermal conductivity of the steel sample. The measurement results are used for determining the mechanical properties of the steel sample by specified equations. Thepresent invention provides a possibility to extend the range of tested parameters, simplify the processing of measurement results, and monitor the state of metal structures in operation conditions.
