TECHNIQUE FOR ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY

The technique for abdominal hysterectomy comprises the mobilization of the uterine ligaments and its appendages, and the resection of the vagina. The technique prevents the significant intraoperative blood loss and provides for the reliable postoperative hemostasis. The electric welding of the soft tissues with the aid of electric coagulator EC-300M1 is performed for mobilization of the ligaments and resection of the vagina. The high current of low voltage is used with this aim. The round, infundibular, and cardinal ligaments of the uterus are separated sequentially. The vessels and tissues rich in vessels are welded beforehand holding them between the electrodes of the clamps. Then the tissues are dissected by the sharpened instruments. The vascular bundles are dissected by the conventional technique. Then the resection of the vagina is performed using the electric welding in the cutting mode. The stump is sewed and peritonized.
