The beam comprises a hollow extruded profile with a substantially rectangular cross-section and made from a lightweight metal (alloy). The beam includes at least one pair of outer guide rails and the rails in this pair are located next to each other on either the top or bottom side of the beam, at the point where the top or bottom side meets a lateral side of the beam. The rails have a substantially prism-shaped cross-section.
