<p>The invention relates to a small-sized biological purifying plant of wastewater, which is designed for connecting to be a part of a building-specific treatment system of wastewaters. The purifying plant has a watertight tank (4) with a base (8) which has fill material (10) functioning as a growth substrate for microbes, such as crushed aggregate, plastic cells or mineral wool. Wastewater undergoing treatment is led via an inlet fitting (12) to the tank onto a layer of fill material, whereby it flows by gravity through the layer of fill material to the bottom of the tank. The base of the tank has an outlet fitting (14) via which water having undergone the biological purifying treatment is led out of the tank. The small-sized purifying plant is placed on the ground surface and connected with the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe to a septic tank pertaining to the building-specific treatment system of wastewaters. Water undergoing treatment is led to the purifying plant from the septic tank and returned after treatment back to the septic tank. The inlet fitting and the outlet fitting are installed on the base of the tank close to each other for leading the inlet fitting and the outlet fitting to the septic tank located below the purifying plant via an opening of the septic tank. The small-sized purifying plant further comprises a pump and an inlet pipe for pumping wastewater to the tank from the septic tank. Advantageously, the external appearance of the small-sized purifying plant is designed to resemble a natural structure, such as a rock, or a part of man-made environment, such as a dog house.</p> |
