A flat type image display device such as a plasma display device includes a signal input terminal structure capable of flexibly coping with a plurality of types of image signal. The flat type image display device includes: a flat type display panel; a display drive circuit block; an input signal circuit block connected between the display drive circuit block and an external device outputting an image signal; and a case containing them. The input signal circuit block includes: a plurality of types of board blocks (23, 24) exchangeable corresponding to the plurality of types of the image signal; and a case member (22) having guide members (25) arranged in the case and a mounting opening for mounting the board blocks (23, 24), and positioning the board blocks (23, 24) at a predetermined position. There are provided a plurality of guide members (25) corresponding to the minimum unit of the board block (23).
