PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic charge balance which announces that the total weight of articles exceeds the total weight of the articles at their arrival in the case that it occurs. SOLUTION: The electronic charge balance is provided with both a weight excess information detecting means S3 for making inquires about part numbers and individual management numbers to an upper model and detecting information on whether the articles exceed in weight or not returned from the upper model as results of the inquiries and a first announcing means S4 for announcing that the articles exceed in weight when information indicating this is detected by the weight excess information detecting means.
