PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of preventing frost from being generated in an inside of a refrigeration chamber, or ice pieces from being coupled during storage, and a control method therefor. SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes an ice making container, a water supply device for supplying water for ice making to the ice making container, a fan for circulating cooled air, and a control part for control to prevent the fan from being driven in water supply mode for supplying the water for the ice making to the ice making container.
