PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the certainty in detecting flames by a flame rod, by surely connecting an electrically conductive film and an earth terminal in a cylindrical burner wherein a combustion cylinder 1 formed by cylindrically combining a plurality of ceramic plates 7 is held by a pair of pressing plates 3, 4 from its axial both sides, the electrically conductive film 71 is formed on an outer peripheral face of the specific ceramic plate, in a state of being earthed through the earth terminal 9, and the voltage is applied between the flame rod 8 and the electrically conductive film. SOLUTION: The electrically conductive film 72 continued to the electrically conductive film 71 of an outer peripheral face, is formed on an end face of the specific ceramic plate 7, and the earth terminal 9 is mounted on the pressing plate 3 in a state of being kept into contact with the electrically conductive film 72.
