PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified awning device capable of being installed easily on a veranda or the like without a need for a high strength in an eaves ceiling or in the front, to which awning device a highly heavy object like a winding case for winding a sheet material may be attached. SOLUTION: Struts 5 are substantially vertically fixed to a pair of right and left vertical frames 3a of a sash frame 3, respectively, by the intermediary of fixing brackets 4. A winding case 6 is installed horizontally between the upper ends of the right and left struts 5. The sheet material 7 which is wound inside the winding case 6 is drawn out and is used as an awning. Each of the struts 5 is disposed on the outside of each of the vertical frames 3a of the sash frame 3, and the winding case 6 is disposed above an upper horizontal frame 3b of the sash frame 3.
