PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a drying tool with an extensible pipe for height adjustment that is vertically suspended from a terrace ceiling or eaves soffit in which a height adjustment mechanism of an extensible pipe is located in the vicinity of a pole hanging arm which a user can easily reach and can easily and unerringly adjust the height. SOLUTION: The extensible pipe is made by slidably inserting an internal pipe 4 into an external pipe 3, a stopper mechanism 13 made up of an engagement piece 15 stopping the sliding of the internal pipe 4 and engaging into an engagement hole 18 projecting toward the external pipe 3 and provided in the external pipe 3 is incorporated in the internal pipe 4 and a moveable shaft 12 engaging and disengaging the stopper mechanism 13 is incorporated in the internal pipe 3, the moveable shaft 12 is pulled down to the part of a bar hanging arm to which a drying bar is hung, the vertical movement or turning of the moveable shaft 12 in the lower end of the moveable shaft 12.
