PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus which can heat a beverage in a container up to a desired temperature condition and can reduce the load when the beverage in the container is rotated. SOLUTION: The heating apparatus to heat an article of commerce W up to the desired temperature condition includes a container holding means 30 to hold the article of commerce W in a standing posture, a rotation means to rotate the article of commerce W held by the container holding means 30 and a heating medium spraying means 40 which forms a collision jet stream on a surface of the container by spraying warm water on the article of commerce W rotated by the rotation means. The container holding means 30 includes a holding power applying mechanism 32 which applies the holding power to hold the article of commerce W, a supporting member 31 which rotates following the rotation means and supports the article of commerce W, and a thrust bearing 39 which connects the holding power applying mechanism 32 and the supporting member 31, wherein the thrust bearing 39 controls the holding power of the holding power applying mechanism 32 to affect the rotation of the supporting member 31.
